NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The three players the Hornets acquired by trading Chris Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers are in New Orleans, and all three say they’re looking forward to a new start.
Guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman and forward Al-Farouq Aminu were presented with their new Hornets jerseys before a scrimmage on Saturday.
Gordon says he sees his move to New Orleans “as a good opportunity” and looks forward to great things early on.
The 7-foot Kaman says he has “a lot to go out there and prove” after missing most of last season with a left ankle injury.
Aminu says he’s also “happy how things turned out.”
Coach Monty Williams says he does not feel like he’s starting over with the new players, but “moving in the right direction.”
